About the event

Are your children home-educated? Are you looking for a quality outdoor experience to enhance their learning? Then join us on one of our sessions exclusively for home-educated children and their families. Suitable for children aged 7 – 13 years old. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

About the session:

During this session we will look at the seasonal movements of different birds and insects at North Cave Wetlands. Wetlands are a rich and varied habitat that provide an important rest stop to those during long migrations.

Using binoculars and ID sheets we will spot different birds around the reserve. We will discuss adaptations these species have to aid in their survival. You will also learn more about the lengths some of these animals go to for their yearly migration.
