The Poetry Takeaway is a converted mobile burger van which will be severing up meaningful fungi inspired words at this year’s Yorkshire Fungi Fest. Working with a diverse and talented group of ‘poet chefs’ from all around the country.

Visitors to Fungi Festival will be able to find the eye-catching van nestled within Potteric Carr Nature Reserve. After a conversation with a poet take a stroll around Fungi Fest and a short while later on your return a unique poem will be written up just for you; exploring whatever themes you like… Perhaps you resonate with Fungi being a non-conforming organism that continually defies the laws of nature, perhaps it is their resilience survive in harsh conditions that inspires you, or perhaps simply just a funny thought you had about toadstools! 

However the mood strikes you, you are sure to come away with a memorable and unique keepsake poem. 

The Poetry Takeaway van will be at Fungi Fest on Saturday 10^th of October and visits are free to drop in to – included with your Fungi Fest ticket.
