About the event
Batty about bats? Come along to Potteric Carr to try one of our famous chip butties whilst you learn more about these incredible creatures and how we find them.
Start the evening off with a welcome drink and a delicious homemade chip butty. There will be a short talk about the bats found here at Potteric Carr and how we look for them and why they are important. We'll also have a bat-tastic quiz to get us in the mood for spotting our fanged friends.
Once you’re full up, walk off those chips around the reserve on a guided bat walk, using specialist bat detectors to spot our moonlit fliers. You can ask questions along the way and see what other night time wildlife you can spot as we go.
Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
Tickets include one hot or cold welcome drink and one chip butty per person, additional drinks can be purchased from the café. Please alert us to any dietary requirements before visiting and we will do our best to accommodate these.
Whilst we will do our best to endeavour to locate and see bats, they are wild animals and we cannot guarantee a sighting, a night-time nature walk will be fun regardless!
