Are you aged 13–25 and passionate about nature, your community and the environment — or just looking for something new to get involved in?
Yorkshire Wildlife Trust is creating a new Youth Forum in Huddersfield, and we want you to help shape it!
This is your chance to meet other young people, get outdoors, try new things and have a real say in the events, activities and opportunities we create — designed by young people, for young people.
What could you get involved in?
You’ll help us decide what the Youth Forum should look like and what we do together. This could include:
- Getting hands-on with nature through green skills workshops, woodland work and nature-friendly gardening
- Exploring local wildlife and the environment
- Designing events and activities
- Meeting other young people who care about making a difference
- Developing your confidence, leadership and teamwork skills
- Taking action on environmental issues that matter to you
- Getting opportunities to lead activities and make your ideas happen
Your ideas matter
We’re starting by listening to you.
The Youth Forum will be co-designed with young people, so you can tell us what you want to do, what interests you and what would make you want to get involved. Young people helping to shape the programme will be recognised for their time and ideas.
We’ll provide food and all essential equipment, and we’ll also cover your travel costs.
You don't need to be an environmental expert. You just need to bring your ideas, curiosity and enthusiasm.
