About the event

We are very happy to announce that the wonderful interactive children’s storyteller MudPie Arts will be returning to join us again at this year's Fungi Festival!

They will be hosting Fungi themed storytelling in the forest which children will be able to join in and enjoy – this experience is included in your Fungi Fest ticket!

About Mud Pie Arts: Our philosophy is to provide creative theatrical experiences, in which the children participate and shape the story’s conclusion. Mud Pie is all about getting stuck in, with the emphasis based on a “hands on” approach to create an instantaneous style of theatre and play. 

We believe that drama is a powerful teaching tool. It enhances a child’s communication, speaking and listening and language skills which forms the foundation of every child’s development and success. The emphasis of our work is based on a child-centred approach to active learning.

'The storyteller was fantastic - she was evidently very experienced with young children and had them captivated from the off. Both of mine were grumpy when they arrived but within a minute, they were really absorbed by how interactive the storytelling was and how many of their ideas she included.
