Walk to the Edge of Yorkshire
About the event
Fancy a challenge this summer? Join our guides and undertake the seven mile round trip to the point and back again, surrounded by sea, sand and stories it is a walk to remember. Our experienced guide will take you on an unforgettable journey to the ‘end of the world’ as you learn about Spurn’s rich natural, human and military history. From Viking longboats, lighthouses and legendary villages lost to the waves, to whales, dolphins, seals and once in a lifetime migratory bird sightings in the North Sea – there’s something for everyone on this incredible tour of ‘Yorkshire’s lands end'.
Please note this walk is a full day event (6 hours) and is best suited for experienced walkers. This event is not suitable for children.
We ask that you bring plenty of water and a lunch as we will have a stop off near the lighthouse for a refuelling break. You can purchase sandwiches from our cafe before the event. Our cafe opens at 10am and the walk will promptly start at 10:30am.
You can also purchase a Spurn Point challenge certificate for £2.50 at the Spurn Discovery Centre.
