There’s nowhere quite like Spurn, where the constantly changing currents of the mighty River Humber meet the turbulent waters of the North Sea. But how much do you really know about this legendary place?

Join Yorkshire Wildlife Trust’s guides on our new walking tour to explore life on the edge in this precarious, ever-changing landscape, where nothing stays the same for long – and where history has often been more dramatic than fiction.

This tour starts and ends at the Discovery Centre and last around 90 minutes, with plenty of stops along the way.

Our Spurn Discovery Tour is the perfect introduction to Yorkshire’s Land’s End. You’ll find out:

• How Spurn was formed and continues to shift shape
• The amazing human history of this precarious peninsula, including the lighthouses and lifeboats, and the incredible true story of a town lost to the sea
• The remarkable wildlife you can see here, including epic migration journeys and the rarities that birders flock to see
• How Yorkshire Wildlife Trust looks after wildlife and its habitats today, including pioneering work to bring back lost and threatened species.
