About the event

Join us for this special Yorkshire Wildlife Trust member's exclusive day to discover more about farming and the environment at a family-run farm in East Yorkshire!

Based in East Yorkshire on top of the Yorkshire Wolds, High Callis Wold is farmed by J Stringer and Sons - the third generation to farm here. With a strong connection to conservation and the environment their daily challenge is to preserve and improve the farm's flora and fauna within a commercial and profitable environment.

Having started to convert to organic in 1999, today they farm cereals, oilseed rape, beans, beef and lamb organically. The farmer, Mike Stringer, has also been taking an interest in the growing regenerative agriculture movement and is experimenting with techniques on both organic and conventional land.

Find out more about the work that has been taking place from the lens of both Yorkshire Wildlife Trust and the Stringer family who farm High Callis Wold. Meat-free buffet lunch and refreshments included in the ticket.

Please note: You will need to have your own transport between Pocklington Arts Centre and High Callis Wold Farm.

Meat-free buffet lunch and refreshments all included in ticket.
