About the event
Spurn is an incredible place for moths, especially in August when migration is in full swing. Join @garden.of.moths for a marvellous moth trapping event! We’re likely to see a mix of common coastal species alongside exciting migrant moths that have travelled across the North Sea. From the delicate looking Rosy Wave to gentle giants like the Convolvulus Hawkmoth, every trap is a surprise at Spurn, which is what makes it such a special place to explore moths!
Join us for a morning of exploring habitats, learning why Spurn is an important site for moth recording, and seeing some of the moth visitors up close.
No prior moth knowledge required! First time lepidoptertists welcome.
