About the event
Step into the festive season with a walk on the wild side. Wake up early and join our exclusive, guided winter wildlife walk at first light complete with a warming breakfast.
At a busy time of year when there’s an endless ‘to do’ list, parties and engagements a plenty, enjoy some time out in the beautiful setting of Potteric Carr nature reserve. On this relaxing stroll, you’ll be encouraged to slow down and tune into nature’s pace. Your expert guide will help you spot the sights and sounds of wintering wildlife as waders arrive, birds flit between the trees in search of an abundance of berries, and robins become a familiar sight. As the countdown to Christmas begins, it will certainly be ‘seasons greetings’ at this special experience.
After your walk, return to the visitor centre for a hot sandwich and freshly brewed tea or coffee. Just let the café team know if you have any dietary requirements on arrival (vegan and gluten-free options available).
