About the event

Take a walk on the wilder side with fungi expert Rhona Sutherland at this woodland nature reserve on the outskirts of Ebberston with views across the Vale of Pickering.

Learn more about the various types of fungi that fill this woodland reserve and improve your fungi ID skills.

Due to the nature of this event, we kindly ask that no dogs are in attendance (except assistance dogs).

This will be a 3.5km walk over steep, uneven and unsurfaced paths around the reserve. Meet at the southern main entrance of the reserve.

What to bring

We'd recommend sturdy and waterproof footwear or wellies, and lots of layers! It could still be midge and mosquito season so we highly recommend wearing insect repellent.
