About the event

Starling murmurations are one of nature’s most extraordinary spectacles. Discover the secrets behind these mesmerising and mysterious displays and create your own interpretation of the skies above Staveley using charcoal and ink with local artist Jo Garlick from Artison. She will guide you through the steps to create your own image which you can take home.

There is a small chance of seeing the murmuration at Staveley at this time of year but it is unpredictable.

Includes refreshments

The dates for the workshops are:

  • 16th January 1-4pm
  • 29th January 1-4pm
