Witches, potions and creepy crawlies… Halloween wouldn't be the same without them! But are bugs really as scary as they seem?

Join us at Potteric Carr Nature Reserve for a spooky species quiz where you'll learn more about all the amazing wildlife that gets special spotlight at this time of year; from rats and bats to newts and toads!

Afterward head outside for a big outdoor bug hunt, and discover the secret lives of our amazing mini beasts. Children will be shown how to use sweep nets, bug pots and ID sheets to learn more about the creep crawlies they find.

If you're looking for an alternative to sugar and scares then why not learn about why bugs deserve our help and celebrate Halloween with some of nature's most misunderstood creatures.

Fancy dress not mandatory but welcome!

Children must be accompanied by an adult. Usual admission fees to Potteric Carr apply (Adults £6, YWT Members Free, Children Free). General admission can be processed at the welcome desk on arrival.
