Mobility

Greenhead Park is a short walk or bus ride from Huddersfield town centre – frequent buses from Huddersfield bus station and Westgate (near both the bus and train stations) stop by the main park gates on Trinity Street. You can find more details of bus services on the Metro website.

There are detailed route guides for visitors with disabilities from Huddersfield Railway Station to Greenhead Park and Huddersfield Bus Station to Greenhead Park on the AccessAble website.

AccessAble access guides to Greenhead Park and The Park cafe in the conservatory have lots of detailed information about access to park facilities for visitors with disabilities. The Friends of Greenhead Park have also produced a customised Greenhead Park Google Map which shows steps, slopes and  a suggested step free walk, as well as park entrances and facilities.

PLEASE NOTE: The park’s Changing Places Toilet is currently closed due to vandalism (July 2026).
