About the event

Join our mushroom march!

We’re looking for young explorers to join us on Sunday 12th October at 3.30pm at Potteric Carr nature reserve to celebrate all things mushroom as part of Yorkshire Wildlife Trust’s annual Fungi Fest.

All we need is for each explorer to bring a mushroom hat they can wear on the march – download your free mushroom hat craft guide that only needs a single cereal box to make.

Go traditional and make a fairy toadstool, or why not learn more about the world of mushrooms and make a shaggy inkcap or amethyst deceiver?

Entry to the reserve and festival is free for children regardless, and adults just attending for the mushroom march will pay a reduced entry fee of £2 if they arrive after 3pm. Otherwise, entry to the reserve and festival is £6 for adults, unless you’re booking onto a pre-paid activity.
