About the event

Are you batty about bats? Always wanted to spot one but never had the chance, or perhaps you are curious about these night-time marvels that can navigate in the dark?

Borrow our bat detectors and follow our lead as we discover bats in their natural habitat and find out more about their fascinating behaviour.

Afterwards, join Scarborough and Ryedale Astronomical Society for an exciting evening learning about the night sky. Use a variety of specialist equipment to uncover planets, stars and more. And, if you download the Unistellar app, you'll be able to take home a photo of what we see on the night using the digital telescopes.

This event is suitable for both adults and children; children must be supervised by an adult throughout the event. The event will involve walking over uneven, mixed terrain in the dark.
