About the event
This year, we’re celebrating 130 years of one of East Yorkshire’s most iconic landmarks, Spurn Lighthouse. The 128ft tall, Grade II listed tower that stands proud today was built in 1895 and remains Northen England’s tallest Lighthouse.
On this celebration day, head inside and meet the artists who have created a new sound and visual installation especially for Spurn Lighthouse (Dr Justin Morey and Ruthie Ford), discover the facts and features of the building that excite the Spurn team on a Lighthouse Tour and find out about becoming a Lighthouse Volunteer. Climb all 114 steps to reach the top and explore all levels of the Lighthouse at your leisure.
