About the event

We will be searching for shells, eggs, bones and all sorts of other treasures. This is a family event. Children must be accompanied by a responsible adult.

Know before you go


South Landing beach is predominantly covered in chalk pebbles. When the tide is out there is a flat, sandy section with a ramp leading to it. To access the beach you must go down a steep, tarmacked single track road.

What to bring

Dress for the weather and wear stout waterproof footwear. All equipment provided.

There is a council pay & display car park next to the Living Seas Centre.
