About the event

Bats are often a familiar fixture during halloween and we want to spend time celebrating them. Join our team for a stroll around the enchanting North Cave Wetlands on the search for some of these fascinating residents. Learn more about them and how to use a bat detector.

 

This is an extended bat walk and runs for 2 and a half hours rather than the standard 1 and a half.

What to bring

What to bring/wear

This event will take place outside so brace yourself for the Yorkshire weather! Sturdy footwear is recommended and lots of layers.

Toilets and catering

There are two compost toilets on the reserve with disabled access. The Little Butty Bus is on site from 8am to 2-30pm providing hot and cold food and drinks six days a week apart from Mondays.

Joining us on the day

We will meet by the first hide (opposite the Butty Bus).
