Discover how to survey a variety of species on a nature reserve to collect important data about plants, animals and litter to help inform our work. Find out why collecting data is important and then learn some practical skills to record plants, pond creatures, small mammals and butterflies. Practical event for young people aged 13-25.

About the event

Our summer activities for young people are free to attend and booking is not required. 

These events are designed to deepen connection to nature through gardening, exploring, surveying, mindfulness, art, foraging, traditional crafts and sustainable living solutions.

Bring lunch and wear clothes and footwear suitable for the outdoors. 

We have a car park, nearby train station and bus stops, accessible toilet, indoor space with a kitchen, friendly staff, trees, plants, birds, meadows and truly beautiful views.
