Summer Surveys
Flamborough - South Landing
So fair, this summer we have undertaken an Adopt A Beach survey at Flamborough South Landing. A strip, 500metres long by 100m's wide was surveyed by a group of 14 volunteers. During the two hour clean 11 bags of rubbish were collected weighing 52kg.The pie chart below shows the majority of litter collected was made from plastic (77% of the total litter collected). Plastic is a material which may never fully break down and so is potentially incredibly damaging to marine life on our beaches.
