St. Nicholas Fields - Local Nature Reserve

 

So close to the city centre, and so much wildlife! St Nicholas Fields is a 24-acre reserve with woodland, wildflower meadows and ponds to explore. York Environmental Community Centre, an amazing energy efficient eco-building, is also at this site and provides an indoor space for the club during winter months and poor weather. Please note - from January the meeting day for the Running Wild club at St. Nicholas Fields LNR will change from a Wednesday to a Monday evening from 4:00-5:30pm for 8-13 year olds.

Weekly Running Wild Club

There will continue to be a weekly Running Wild club at St Nicholas Field during term time...

The group gets involved with a variety of activities, including:

  • and much more!

No booking necessary with this club during term time, just turn up!

Boat trip to Flamborough

We'll be exploring the coast from a boat with some local experts, as well as enjoying some rock pooling and beach art.

Remember to bring a picnic and wear suitable clothing.

Fishing

Ever wanted to learn about fishing?  This is your chance to learn from the best!  We'll be visiting a local nature reserve on the outskirts of York and joining local anglers to enjoy a spot of fishing.

All equipment is provided but please bring a picnic lunch and wear suitable clothing.
