Welcome to Pearson Park Wildlife Garden
Pearson Park Wildlife Garden is a garden for the whole community. With lots of wildlife habitat havens tucked into the heart of Hull.
Come and discover this secret city garden. The wildlife pond, small stretches of hedgerow, woodland and a wildflower meadow provide homes for a huge variety of urban wildlife. There is plenty to see from garden birds such as blue tits, long-tailed tits and robins to fantastic insects including butterflies, shield bugs, ladybirds, bees and much more.
The pond is a huge hit with children who come from all over the city to practise their pond dipping skills. Home to plenty of frogs, a large population of smooth newts and a plethora of pond insects it is sure to thrill and inspire any budding young naturalist.
In late spring and early summer, the divine scents of rosemary, oregano and sage waft around the simply stunning mature herb garden. The vegetable growing area is a community favourite as families head over to pick the glut of raspberries and more during the summer. Like Pearson Park Wildlife Garden on Facebook.
Due to an incident over the bank holiday weekend we are having to lock the main gate at weekends for the time being. Please accept our apologies, you can still visit the garden during weekdays from 10 - 4 pm.
Our Wild Corner was a project kindly funded by the Biffa Award. The project set out to provide training and resources for the local community, who visit and volunteer within the Wildlife Garden. Take a look at our video to see what we have been up to!
