Office Based Opportunities

Helping in the York office

  • Vehicle Maintenance Officer
The Trust has a small fleet of vehicles (including tractors) which it uses to deliver the charitable aims and objectives of the Charity. The role will ensure that our vehicles are fit and safe to use by staff and                   volunteers.

Helping with publicity, fundraising, media etc.

  • Events Assistants
We hold a range of special events and sometimes attend other events to raise our profile; these events require the help of volunteers. You might be helping to put up tents, set up stands and activities, welcome visitors, hand out leaflets, assist with activities, or lead guided walks. This is a unique opportunity to get involved with fun and educational events that help us to raise our profile and to build up our membership.
  • Communication assistants
This dynamic and varied role can be tailored to suite your interests and strengths. Communications covers a lot of different disciplines including – writing, proofing, photography, video, illustration, events, talks and social media. You can keep things as simple as you like - perhaps just looking out for the Trust’s press releases in your local area; or if you have more time you could attend one of the Trusts events and write a short article about what went on.

Your skills may be more versed in illustration, photography or video – we are regularly on the look out for new wildlife images which the Trust can use online and in its publications be it photograph or illustration. If you manage to capture Yorkshire’s wildlife on video you could also help us to develop an online video gallery or maybe a short film.

If you simply just love to get out into Yorkshire’s wilderness and explore what our wonderful county has to offer, then perhaps you could send in updates on what you have spotted during your adventures for our blog.
