    Yorkshire Wildlife Trust is taking the lead in igniting high level political interest in an immensely important debate – one that is ultimately fundamental to the quality of life of us all. The debate centres on the development of English agricultural policy after the UK leaves the European Union (Brexit) and thus the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) - the existing agricultural policy of the EU.

  • Gouthwaite Wildlife Centre - Please let us know your views

    A series of drop-in consultation sessions are scheduled for January offering an insight into a proposal to build a small, unmanned, centre on the shore of Gouthwaite Reservoir to provide opportunities for bird watching, finding out about the area’s wildlife and signposting visitors on to other tourism destinations in the dale.

  • Natural icon of the Yorkshire Dales will be saved forever!

    Staff at Yorkshire Wildlife Trust are celebrating this week after receiving the news that a funding application to the Heritage Lottery Fund has been successful. Thanks to National Lottery players, a grant of £59,800 from the Heritage Lottery Fund was the final piece in a funding jigsaw to secure Ashes Pasture, in Ribblesdale.
