Gift Aid

Please consider Gift Aid! If you are a UK tax payer and complete a Gift Aid Declaration, we will be able to reclaim tax that you have already paid on your membership and donations. Currently, this enables us to claim 28p from the Government for each £1 that you give.

By ticking the box on any item in the shop that we can claim Gift Aid on (memberships and donations) you agree to the following:

“I would like all subscriptions and donations I make from the date of this declaration, and all previous subscriptions and donations made since 6th April 2000, to be Gift Aid donations. I am a UK tax payer and I will be paying an amount of income tax and / or capital gains tax at least equal to the tax that Yorkshire Wildlife Trust reclaims on my subscriptions and donations each year.”

Notes on Gift Aid:

• You can cancel this declaration at any time by notifying Yorkshire Wildlife Trust
• You must  pay an amount of income tax and/or capital gains tax at least equal to the tax that  Yorkshire Wildlife Trust reclaims on your donations in the tax year
• If your circumstances change in the future and you no longer pay tax on your income and capital gains equal to the tax that Yorkshire Wildlife Trust reclaims, you must contact Yorkshire Wildlife Trust to cancel your declaration
• If you pay tax at the higher rate you can claim further tax relief in your Self Assessment tax return
• If you are unsure whether your donations qualify for Gift Aid tax relief please ask your local tax office
• Please notify us if you change your name or address
