Fundraising

Fundraising is a really rewarding way to help support the Trust. Here are some ideas to help you get started, but if you have any questions please just drop us a line!

If you'd like to chat about your fundraising activity first then give us a call on 01904 659570 or email us at info@ywt.org.uk. Have fun fundraising!

Everyday fundraising

There are lots of ways to raise money for charity through innovative schemes online.

Badger Boxes

Our collection tins, affectionately known as badger boxes, are great at helping to raise awareness and funds for Yorkshire Wildlife Trust. If you run a pub, shop, café or bar and would like to have a badger box on your counter then please get in touch with info@ywt.org.uk.

Organise an event

We are always over the moon when people get in touch saying that they would like to fundraise for us – we’ve had people holding dance events, loom band bracelet sales, cake sakes, burlesque shows, sponsored swims and even a ceildh! Those are just a few ideas, but really the possibilities are endless.

Take part in an event

Here are a couple that we can recommend:

  • Jane Tomlinson 'Run For All' events - there are numerous running events to choose from throughout Yorkshire from 10k up to the iconic Yorkshire marathon, simply register online and get in touch with us and we will send you a fundraising pack.

For any event you’ll most likely need a sponsorship form (download below) and a way to collect donations online. We recommend JustGiving, the world’s biggest online giving platform.

If you visit our JustGiving page you can easily create your own personal fundraising page. JustGiving has lots of information about how best to set up your page and how to share it.

Justgiving will claim Gift Aid on your behalf but if you are collecting offline donations please download the form below, which means we can claim Gift Aid on your donations, making your efforts go 25% further!

To chat about any fundraising activity, just drop us a line info@ywt.org.uk

Fundraise – without even trying!

If the thought of running fills you with dread, then you might like to consider ways in which you can raise money at a more relaxed pace. There are plenty of schemes out there that exist to help worthwhile charities. If you’ve found a scheme and we’re not registered on there, then let us know! Here are some of our favourites:
