Clifton Backies - Local Nature Reserve

 

Clifton Backies was designated as a Local Nature Reserve in 2002, as it is a very special place for wildlife. There are lots of places to explore including woodlands, grassy areas, a pond, and lots of open space - come along, there is much to discover!

Sawing Saturday

Come along to make a real difference at Clifton Backies! You'll be using tools to clear scrub and transplanting lots of oak trees! In return for your hard work you'll get a free lunch of homemade Running Wild Soup!

Saturday 19th December

10.30am - 12.00noon

Willow Wreaths
It's time to wrap up warm and come along to make a willow wreath to hang on your front door.  There'll be Christmassy run-around games to play as well to make sure we keep warm!!

Saturday 23rd January

2.00pm - 3.30pm

Feed the Birds
Join us to make bird feeders for our feathered friends, which will help them survive the cold winter months.  We will also see what birds we can spot on Clifton Backies.
