Our previous appeals

Thank you.

Your support means that we are able to achieve so much for Yorkshire's wild places and wildlife. Our recent appeals have included:

Our Wonderful Woodlands - 2015

Our Wonderful Woodlands appeal was launched in March 2015 in order to raise money to enable us to carry out extra works across our suite of woodland nature reserves. Our final fundraising total was £8,680 which will enable us to carry out extra coppicing works, glade creation and woodland ride management this winter. We would like to thank everybody for their generous support of this appeal. We are still accepting donation to this appeal on our Justgiving page.

Barn Owl Appeal - 2014

Thank you for everyone who has helped us to raise over £30,000 to help barn owl numbers increase across Yorkshire by funding grassland restoration, barn owl nestboxes and a new sightings website. We are still accepting donations for this appeal through JustGiving.

Bigger, better Brockadale - 2013

Thank you to everyone who helped us to raise over £44,500, exceeding our target of £40,000, towards our Bigger, Better Brockadale Appeal. This money allowed us to purchase and restore a vital piece of land to join up Brockadale Nature Reserve, near Pontefract

Waste to Wildlife - 2012

In December 2012 we launched an appeal to raise £16,453 to go towards three grant applications for projects across Yorkshire. Landfill Community Fund grant schemes stipulate that every grant must be released by contribution from a third party, and this appeal aimed to raise this 10%. Thanks to this appeal we were able to start the following projects: 'Amazing Grazing' at Wheldrake Ings nature reserve which benefits the meadow flowers and wading birds that overwinter here;  'Loving Your Local Limestone' which restores rare magnesian limestone grassland at sites near Doncaster and 'Step Into Nature' which improves the visitor experience at North Cave Wetlands nature reserve.
