Acomb Wood in Woodthorpe is around 3 acres in size. It is believed to be an ancient woodland, home to a large variety of birds including greater spotted woodpeckers, tawny owls and tree creepers. The wood is just teeming with wildlife so come along and see what birds and animals you can find!

Nest Boxes for your Neighbours Birds are getting ready to find homes to raise their chicks... give them a helping hand by coming along to build some boxes. After eating YWT homemade soup for lunch we'll give the nest boxes away to the local community. |
