Acomb Wood - Local Nature Reserve
Acomb Wood in Woodthorpe is around 3 acres in size. It is believed to be an ancient woodland, home to a large variety of birds including greater spotted woodpeckers, tawny owls and tree creepers. The wood is just teeming with wildlife so come along and see what birds and animals you can find!

We'll be visiting a local nature reserve on the outskirts of York and joining local anglers to enjoy a spot of fishing.
