Beach cleans took place on the weekend of the 20th/21st September all across the UK to collect valuable data for the Marine Conservation Society, helping them to campaign against litter at the source. Cleans on Flamborough North Landing, Flamborough South Landing and the Trusts Spurn reserve, showed that plastic was the predominant material found on all of the beaches. Plastic litter consisted of bottles, bags, crates and various packaging materials. The majority of these items likely came from people depositing their rubbish into the environment. Help us to reduce rubbish on local beaches by following the three 'Rs' - 'Reduce, Reuse and Recycle!'
