About the event

Climb aboard the all-terrain Unimog for a tour with a difference along Spurn.  Experience the beauty of the Spurn Peninsula as the Sun goes down and learn about the fascinating wildlife and history of this iconic Yorkshire landscape.  Take in the spectacular views from the top of the historic Spurn Lighthouse as the Sun sets on this idyllic reserve.

There is a set of steps on board to help access the Unimog, so anyone who is able to use normal stairs will be able to access the Unimog to go on the Safari.

What to bring

Dress for the weather (it can be very cold and exposed at Spurn, so bring plenty of layers!) and wear sturdy footwear, it is advisable to bring a torch/head torch.

Please give yourself plenty of time to walk along the road from the car park or Spurn Discovery Centre to the gate, where the Unimog is parked.

Please arrive 10 minutes before the tour is scheduled to leave.  Your tour leader will meet you at the Unimog and brief you on safety during the tour.

Parking information

There is a £5 parking charge, which helps us to maintain the centre and look after the reserve. There is free parking for Wildlife Trust members who display their up-to-date membership card on their car dashboard.
