Do you fancy experiencing the incredible pallet of colour enjoyed at Leyburn Old Glebe in May and June or perhaps you'd like to hear the dawn chorus at Grass Wood and Semer Water? Well, this could be your average day if you apply to be our Northern Living Landscapes Trainee!

You'll spend your days helping us to deliver events, carrying out practical habitat management to improve the reserves for wildlife and people or working with partner organisation staff and volunteers on ‘Wild Ingleborough’, a brand new exciting multi-partner landscape project. As a Northern Living Landscapes Trainee you will carry out and be involved with a broad range of tasks. This role encompasses every area of our work so you will be involved with the habitat management and practical conservation work, learn about grazing and work with farmers, carry out habitat and species survey work, assist our volunteers and be involved with exciting project work, engage with visitors, and assist at events and complete infrastructure maintenance work.

This is an incredible opportunity to be involved with such a broad range of reserves across the Yorkshire Dales, while gaining vital experience to help you stand out when applying for jobs in the conservation sector.
