Butterfly Surveyor- Various Nature Reserves

Would you like a spend an hour or two looking for butterflies?

We are looking for keen Lepidopterists (amateurs welcome) to undertake butterfly transects across nature reserves in Yorkshire. If you enjoy being outside in nature, scouting for butterflies and seeing the changes in both reserve and species you encounter over the survey season, then this role is for you.

Please note that this role is only managed from Skipton and that the surveying will take place on various reserves across Yorkshire.

Nature Reserves we need surveyors for are: North West: Brae Pasture, Grass Wood, Mealbank Quarry, Southerscales; North East: Ashberry Wood, Bishop Monkton Railway Cutting, Burton Riggs, Ellerburn Bank/Pexton Bank, Fen Bog, Little Beck Wood, Ripon City Wetlands; Staveley,  Upper Dunsforth Carrs; East: Spurn Point, Wheldrake Ings

Closing date for applications:  Monday 4th March 2019

Training Day:  A training day will be held for new surveyors and this willl likely be the last week in March. Date TBC.
