Crystal Clear

Thanks to new funding from the WREN Biodiversity Action Fund (WREN BAF), Yorkshire Wildlife Trust has started some exciting work at six chalk stream sites.

Spurn NNR - Communities along the Sand

The Communities along the Sand project sets out to engage people in the conservation of Spurn’s natural and cultural heritage, at one of Yorkshire’s wildest and most remote places, Spurn National Nature Reserve. Supported by the Heritage Lottery Fund.

Spurn Development Project

Yorkshire Wildlife Trust has exciting plans to develop Spurn, including the development of a new visitor centre which will allow visitors to the site to learn more about its wildlife and history.

The Outer Humber Project

This project funded by WREN is supporting saltmarsh habitat creation and restoration work on the Outer Humber from Spurn to Hull.

Nature Tourism Triangle

PuffinWildlife not only benefits the mind and soul, it benefits our economy too! The Yorkshire Nature Triangle aims to use sustainably nature tourism to help bolster the tourism economy of East Yorkshire - demonstrating yet another value of nature conservation to those in power. Funding from Big Lottery’s Coastal Communities Fund is helping market the area and provide support for businesses to tap into the growing market of nature tourism.

Youth In Nature

Our Bright Future is supporting Youth in Nature - a five year project funded by the Big Lottery to enable young people aged 11 - 24 year olds from the Hull area to engage with wildlife and the environment.
