Preparation for the Spurn Visitor Centre gets underway.
Monday 13th March 2017
Yorkshire Wildlife Trust will soon be commencing work on the Spurn Visitor Centre.
Spurn Gateway Development Officer Adam Stoyle will be installing fencing to ensure watervoles, amphibians and reptiles are excluded from the area where the centre will be built.
Adam said: “We shall be installing a hard fence, dug into the ground for water voles along the flood bank and amphibian fencing around the remainder of the site. We shall be undertaking a daily check of the area by hand. Species we will be on the lookout for are frogs, toads, newts, lizards and grass snakes all of which will be safely relocated.”
