Covering an area of 2000 square kilometres the Levels include the main towns of Doncaster, Goole and Selby, as well as many smaller market towns and villages.

Directions to some of the top places to visit

Potteric Carr

By Road:

Potteric Carr is 2 miles south east of Doncaster, close to Junction 3 of the M18. From Doncaster, take the A6182 (White Rose Way) and turn left ay the roundabout near B&Q. From the M18 Junction 3, take the A6182 and turn right at the first roundabout.

By Public Transport:

Potteric Carr is approximately 1 mile from Doncaster station.

Thorne and Hatfield Moors

By Road:

From the south take the M1 (North), join the M18 at junction 32. Leave the M18 at junction 5, taking the Scunthorpe/Grimsby exit on to the M180. Take the A18 exit and follow on this road to Hatfield. For Thorne leave the M18 at junction 6 and take the A614 to Thorne.

From the north (York/Selby) take the A19 south, merge onto the M62. At junction 35 exit onto the M18 towards Scunthorpe, take M180 then A18 on to Hatfield. For Thorne take the A1041.

By Public Transport:

There are two train stations in Thorne - north and south. Thorne South Station has direct links with Sheffield, Lincoln and Scunthorpe, as well as Doncaster (journey time: 20 mins). Thorne North Station has direct links to Hull, Scarborough and Bridlington. 

Hatfield & Stainforth train station has direct links with Doncaster, Sheffield, Scunthorpe and Hull.

From Thorne South you can catch bus numbers 496, 88 and 88A to Hatfield.
