Spurn Operations Manager

Salary: £29000 p.a. plus up to 9% pension contribution

Closing date: Monday 11th December 2017

Location: Spurn National Nature Reserve

Job ref: 17.6.45

Do you love Yorkshire, love wildlife? Are you as passionate as we are about creating a Yorkshire rich in wildlife for everyone? Can you inspire a team to engage with visitors and empower them to take action for nature?

Yorkshire Wildlife Trust is one of the UK’s fastest growing environmental organisations and seeks to appoint a Manager at its Spurn Gateway site. This post is supported as part of the Great British Coast initiative and is an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to join the team as the Trust continues its investment in the Outer Humber Living Landscape. If you have experience of leading a diverse team and would relish the opportunity of running a state of the art venue at our iconic nature reserve at Spurn, this could be the role for you.

It is a variable and fast-paced job which requires the post holder to have a flexible approach.
You will have strong skills in people management and be able to manage budgets and projects confidently ideally with a good understanding of the principals of nature conservation. Whilst being part of lively and dynamic team you will also need to be comfortable self-managing with the ability to communicate to wide audiences.

If you would like to find out more about the role and the site you can join us at Spurn on 30 November (please contact us for more information).
